The season of advent is a preparatory time as we await the coming of Christ at Christmas. Advent marks the beginning of a new liturgical year, and runs from Sunday, December 3 to Sunday, December 24.

Communal Penance Service | Tuesday, December 19, 2023
The service will be held at 6:30pm at Holy Redeemer Parish in Jenison.

Nativity Program | Wednesday, December 13, 2023
The Faith Formation students will be performing a nativity program beginning at 6:00pm with a cookie reception to follow. All parishioners and family members are invited to attend!
Advent Giving Tree | Available in the Gathering Area
Beginning November 19, the annual giving tree will be in the gathering area. Tags benefit local families and local charities. Please attach your tag firmly to the unwrapped gift and return it by December 10, 2023.
Preparing the Manger | Available in the Gathering Area
Stemming from a French tradition, all are invited to take a bag of straw home. For each good deed or sacrifice you make during Advent, set a piece of straw aside. Then, bring the straw to Christmas Eve Mass to soften the manger for the Christ Child.
