Pentecost Sunday

Dear Friends in Christ,

I am thrilled to announce that we have hired Katie Parker as our new Pastoral Associate for Parish Life, Outreach, and OCIA (formerly known as RCIA). Katie and her husband, Sam, along with their three sons Bryce and Matthew (twins – who were recently confirmed), and Jacob, have been valued members of our parish for several years. Katie will officially begin her full-time role in August, but she will be shadowing both Rosemary and Cheryl on a part-time basis over the summer to ensure a smooth transition. We are excited to welcome Katie to our staff and look forward to the energy, passion, and expertise she will bring to our parish community.

In case anyone missed the announcement that Rosemary is retiring at the end of the summer I want to thank Rosemary for her ministry to this parish. She truly has a heart of gold and has poured her heart out to those she serves in this parish; especially those she has helped walk their journey of grief. Rosemary has not only been a cherished member of the staff but also of our parish, and we will celebrate her contributions and dedication at the end of the summer. She will remain with us until September 1st, and we wish her all the best in her retirement.

On another note, I want to provide you with an update on our “Restore All Things in Christ” Sanctuary Project. As of May 12, 2024, we have received a total of 205 pledges. Our goal for the project is $2,000,000, and I am delighted to share that pledges received thus far amount to $1,711,047. We are incredibly close to reaching our goal, with a balance of just $288,953 remaining. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have already made pledges to support the Sanctuary Project!

For those who have not yet returned their pledge cards, I encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Every pledge, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to achieving our goal. We are hopeful that we can conclude our fundraising efforts by the end of May, so please consider making your pledge this weekend.

Thank you for your continued support and generosity. May God bless each of you abundantly as we journey together in faith.

In Christ’s love and Friendship,

Fr. Stephen
