The Sacrament of Holy Orders is one of the Sacraments of Service.  It is for men who choose to respond to Christ’s unique call to holiness by serving the Church as spiritual leaders.   It is the Sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church.

Men may be ordained as deacons, priests, or bishops.  It is a vocation for which they are empowered for a lifetime of leadership and service in the Church.  The Sacrament of Holy Orders enables the priest to speak in the name of the whole community and to serve in the person of Christ.

Individuals who are interested in finding out if God may be calling them to the priesthood should contact Fr. Stephen or another pastoral staff member, or the Office of Priestly Vocations through the Diocese of Grand Rapids.
