Welcome Monica!

We are excited to announce that Monica Davis has accepted the position as Faith Formation Secretary. Monica graduated from Michigan sate in spring of 2020 (Go Green!).  During her time at MSU she was engaged in the Catholic Student center and led a retreat for peers during a senior year.  Monica was drawn to working in the Church because she was looking for a way to both use her skills and share her faith.  We are excited that she has joined our team! Her first official day will be ?? and she will be present at all the masses on the weekend of ?? to introduce herself. Thank you for all for your prayers during our search for this open position.

Several months ago, I commissioned a team to begin discussing updates to our parish website.  Eventually we approached Diocesan Publications to begin the process.  Currently we are in the build phase of the website.  Current projections have the website being ready for launch mid-late August.  This will be very exciting for all of us.

With the new website we had a couple of simple goals in mind:

• Make the website simple and easy to use – that the website has important information about mass times that are easily accessible
  • Informative – people can find out about the parish and staff efficiently
  • Inviting and attractive – my hope is that when people visit the website, they see what we all know to be true about the St. Pius X community, it’s a wonderful, energetic, and faith-filled community where people encounter Christ through the sacraments and people.

The new website is one of the reasons I am hoping to collect testimonials from parishioners.  Simple one sentence snapshots of your experiences at this parish can help encourage those looking for a Christ-centered community that experiences Christ through the sacraments to join us for mass and give our parish a try.  Please send any testimonials to me at my parish email: frstephen@spxcatholic.org.
